Thompson Plastics has designed an innovative new, ceramic-look, single piece, semi-counter top basin for the touring market.
With its great looks and single piece, easy fit design, Thompson Plastics is confident that the clean curves of the new basin will be a hit with both consumers demanding style and manufacturers looking for durability and function.
Bill McKeown of Thompson Plastics said, “The new design has the feel and contemporary look of a domestic ceramic basin, whilst meeting the touring market’s requirement for a light weight product.”
The basin can be manufactured in crystal capped, high gloss, high impact styrene or sanitary grade acrylic capped ABS.
The one-piece, no-joint Thompson Plastics design means that the basin not only looks simple, clean and attractive, but is also straight forward to fit using studs. The integral tap mounting also helps to secure the basin firmly in place.
The integral tap mounting, with the tap fitting into the basin, also means that the manufacturer will not need to cut into the surrounding counter surface to fit a tap and it will be easier for caravan owners to keep the surround dry and clean.
Available this summer, the new basin adds to Thompson Plastics’ range of sink designs for the touring market including fold away options.
Thompson Plastics develops products, such as exterior panels, shower cubicles, shower trays and bath panels, for touring caravan, motor home, holiday home and bathroom manufacturers from three factories – Leisure Products at Hessle, A&G Moulding at Oak Road in Hull and Plastics Manchester at Levenshulme.
It is part of the Thompson Plastics Group, which was established in 1976 and has a comprehensive plastics engineering process portfolio.
