Breakthroughs in materials science research depend on fast, reliable high-resolution information which allows scientists to tailor and optimize the material’s performance. Talos S/TEM, one of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s latest (S)TEM in its EM portfolio is designed to be used for a wide range of applications with high throughput as well as ultimate reproducibility. Its intuitive user interface, among many other features, makes the beamtime more efficient, allows users acquire consistent data and facilitates a more reliable data interpretation and analysis.
Speakers
Dr. Reza Zamani is Product Specialist for transmission electron microscope (TEM) at Thermofisher Scientific. He has 13 years of experience with TEMs in both industry and academia. He obtained his PhD degree from the University of Barcelona in 2013, and afterward he continued his scientific career in several countries, Germany, Sweden, and Switzerland, starting as a postdoctoral researcher and eventually becoming a senior staff scientist. At his current role in Thermofisher Scientific, he interacts with the electron microscopy community as well as materials scientists, in order to understand and answer their electron microscopy needs and questions, and also transfer their feedbacks to the company for the future developments.
Dr. Arno Meingast is Business Development Manager for clean energy in the DACH region. He has 13 years of experience in transmission electron microscopy in industrial and academic surroundings. He obtained his PhD at the Technical University of Graz where he focused on analytical techniques such as EDS and EELS. After that he moved to Sweden where he continued this focus working for several years as senior TEM scientist in industry. Thereafter he worked for six years as senior applications specialist in the European demonstration lab of Thermo Fisher Scientific (NanoPort) in Eindhoven.
