The ZEISS Smartzoom 5 is a smart digital microscope that may be used for quality control and assurance in nearly any industry. It is so simple to operate that even unskilled individuals will create outstanding results.
It is quick and straightforward to set up, completely automated and equipped with specific quality assurance and quality control components. Smartzoom 5 has a macro recording mode that streamlines the process of repeating sample analyses of the same kind step by step.
ZEISS puts the IQ in Industrial Quality with Smartzoom 5.

Highlights
Smart Design
- The Smartzoom 5 is always aware of the state of all key components and corrects for component variances
- Quality assurance and quality control analysis (QA/QC) technologies are built into the Smartzoom 5
- The optical engine, which combines three functions — zoom, overview camera and coaxial illumination — in one component, comes standard with the digital microscope
Smart Workflow
- Presets and enhancements for images help users achieve the finest results. Automatic measurements are possible with this digital microscope, thanks to a variety of picture algorithms
- A macro recording option on the Smartzoom 5 improves the workflow for repeating sample analyses of the same kind in a step-by-step way
- A seamless macro-to-detail workflow is supported by the integrated QA/QC visual user interface, which combines with gesture control to allow for simple navigation at all times
Smart Output
- The guided workflow of the system, together with calibrated components, allows for user-independent measurement results
- Users can quickly annotate images and export reports to Word templates
- The Smartzoom 5 provides quick, repeatable QA/QC measurements for both regular and failure analysis

Smart Design
Users may choose from three distinct objectives with magnifications ranging from 10x to 1011x with Smartzoom 5. The bayonet interface powers the segmentable LED ring light built into the objectives. Make use of intelligent safety features: if the objective comes into contact with the sample or user’s hand, the motor will instantly stop, safeguarding both the user and the sample.

Smart Workflow
Smartzoom 5’s integrated QA/QC visual user interface supports a continuous macro-to-detail workflow, making orientation straightforward. Separate lenses are used to record the whole sample surface. Users can immediately observe which sections of the samples are suitable for microscopic examination.
The process is neatly stored away, ready to repeat the microscopic study step by step again and again. Simply pick the best image from the preview images or use live image-enhancing capabilities like HDR, noise filtering, sharpening and stabilization for the best presentation.

Smart Output
The swingarm of the microscope allows the user to observe features on the sample surface at angles ranging from -45° to +45°. The pivot point of the swivel axis stays steady while the user does so, and the focus stays squarely on the sample.
