Sanitary bulk bag dischargers, designed and built by NBE, provide increased product safety confidence by integrating HACCP-driven cleanability and accessibility features into the system's construction. Structural beams and cross members are angled away from product zones, or turned 45º to horizontal to prevent material buildup and pooling. To prevent microbial accumulation, product-area weld seams are ground to a No. 4 finish, and hand-burnished to eliminate pits, dimples, and crevices.

To speed cleaning and validation, material release openings are designed into joints and angles, reducing material buildup. Product safety and protection of personnel are enabled by the big bag discharger's closed-cycle contaminant prevention system. To help improve FSMA readiness, the sanitary design of NBE big bag unloaders also includes automation and controls communication that delivers standardized, system-wide data reports to aid verification and record keeping.
