AKSA's Involvement with the Carbon Fibre Industry and the Future for Australia

Dan Pichler from AKSA tells us about their involvement in the carbon fibre industry and their expanding production capacity in response to market demands and future predicted growth.

He sees the demand for carbon fibres to be on the increase with companies like Boeing and Airbus with the 787 and A350 all set to have components made from carbon fibre. Other areas set to be significant consumers of carbon fibre include wind turbines and the automotive industry.

Dan also sees value in the establishment of the carbon fibre production furnace at the ACFRF (Australian Carbon Fibre Research Facility) in Australia and can foresee some involvement with them. he also expresses his view on Australia's involvement in the global carbon fibre industry.
