The Beckman Coulter Mutisizer 4 Particle Size Analyzer

The Multisizer 4 is a particle size analyzer from Beckman Coulter that uses the Coulter principle to determine particle size. Ed Hoff explains how this principle is based on electrical resistance making it independent of refractive index, unlike light scattering techniques. Furthermore, it measures the size of each individual particle making it extremely accurate.

Multisizer 4 can determine particle size distributions in about 30 seconds and can measure particles in the range of 0.4 microns to 1600 microns.
