The Society for Protective Coatings Announces New Additions to SSPC 2011 Show

The Society for Protective Coatings today announced exciting new additions to its newest tradeshow, SSPC 2011 featuring GreenCOAT. The event is set for Jan. 31- Feb. 3, 2011, at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas.

"We've taken this year's show to another level. By listening to our members' requests from past events, we've integrated a number of exciting new elements," said Russ Brown, president of SSPC. "From taking the lead in showcasing environmental and topical industry issues to applying exciting new mobile technologies that keep attendees well informed, this year's show promises to be technologically advanced in both production and content."

In addition to educational technical sessions and training courses offered at every SSPC show, this year's event will highlight critical new issues relevant to the coatings industry such as GreenCOAT topics focusing on the industry's environmentally responsible protective coatings.

Also, a new and highly anticipated session is "Women in the Coatings Industry." This program highlights the ever-expanding roles of professional women in this male-dominated industry and includes practical advice from women who are leading the way and opening new doors.

Other new features include a mobile conference site and texting updates. The mobile site delivers exclusive content and daily updates for mobile devices at the conference. The texting updates distribute last-minute news, such as schedule and program changes through text alerts. Attendees will be able to subscribe to these alerts through a variety of conduits, including the mobile conference site, the main SSPC web site and by scanning mobile barcodes at various locations throughout the conference center.
