Acrilex Expands Acriglas Combination Series of Acrylic Sheets

Acrilex, Inc., a leading producer and distributor of high-end custom-colored acrylics, has expanded its Acriglas® Combinations line to include LuciteLux™ acrylic sheets, with built-in Microban® antimicrobial product protection to inhibit the growth of odor and stain causing bacteria.

This partnership allows Acrilex to create a monolithic material that combines custom colors and textures with antimicrobial technology.

LuciteLux™ acrylic sheets, with Microban® protection, produced by Lucite International, disrupt bacteria that can cause stains, odors and product deterioration. This antimicrobial protection works for the lifetime of the product and helps maintain surface cleanliness. Acrilex’s Combination series offers quick access to the acrylic sheets with antimicrobial protection in a virtually unlimited array of colors and textures, providing customers with clean, durable and uniquely colored surfaces.

“We envision this product as a breakthrough for the medical and architectural communities,” said Dan Rustin, director of new product development. “With Acrilex’s ability to customize the LuciteLux™ sheets, with Microban® protection, the marriage of beauty and function is complete.”

The new product is ideal for medical facilities, hospitals, child-care centers, nursing homes, schools, dormitories, cafeterias, and hotels. The acrylic sheets can be drilled, routed, laser cut, glued, formed, hot stamped, and silk-screened like any other acrylic sheet. All sheets can be custom cut or configured on-site by Acrilex to meet the specifications of a wide variety of applications.
