Interstate Specialty Products Launches Mupor PTFE Membranes

A new series of microporous polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membranes has been launched by Interstate Specialty Products, provider of custom die cutting products and services.

Mupor PTFE Membranes

Mupor PTFE membranes do not require any protection and are non-cytotoxic. The tensile strength of the microporous PTFE membranes is about 20N/mm2. The membranes are USP23 approved. EtO and steam can be used for sterilizing these microporous membrane filters.

The membranes are ideal for liquid and gas filtration such as concentrated acids, alkalis, cryogenic fluids and organic solvents in medical, laboratory and industrial instruments. Standard applications of custom and standard die-cut PTFE membranes include venting, filtration and diffusion barriers.

The filters include a 3-D pore structure. Interstate offers Mupor PTFE membranes with pore sizes ranging from 0.5 to 50 µm and thickness ranging from 50 to 3,000 µm. They are available in various widths that vary up to 330 mm. The membranes are also available with polypropylene laminate backing.
