EcoBlu Products, a manufacturer of proprietary wood products, has received a contract to deliver Red Shield protected lumber and trusses to a major national homebuilder based in Ontario, California.
The products will be used in a home development project. The framing contract was awarded to Frame Right Construction. The contract is worth more than one million dollars in gross revenues.
The builder has selected Red Shield products as they offer value-added fire protection and provide resistance against termites, wood rot and mold. Frame Right Construction offers only Red Shield coated lumber to all projects in Southern California.
EcoBlu Products’ Red Shield protection enables homes to meet new 2011 energy codes, which include 2x6 exterior walls, radiant barrier roof sheathing and solar power.
EcoBlu Products’ President and CEO, Steve Conboy stated that another homebuilder has recognized the value of Red Shield protected products. He added that it is hard for a builder to deviate from product specifications once the builder has started using the Red Shield lumber.
