Environmentally-Friendly UV Coating from PFL

PrintingForLess.com (PFL) has launched a new, eco-friendly UV coating service for use in commercial printing. The UV coating is a water-based and recyclable coating that provides a glossy finish.

It is applied over a printed paper surface and curing is carried out with a special device using ultraviolet light. The application of the coating produces attractive catalogs, business cards, postcards or other products with a rich, shiny and impressive look.

Earlier, the UV coating had placed high risk to pressman and the surrounding; however it has been enhanced based on the user needs in the past few years. The UV coating from PFL is biodegradable and consumes 15% less energy compared to the standard UV processes. The coating also offers several other benefits. The environmentally-friendly UV coating is less expensive and provides additional durability and protection to printed menus or mailers. It withstands smudging and offers clear custom printing details with a high shine. PFL’s UV coating is free from solvents and after curing it does not release volatile organic compounds (VOCs). It gets dried quickly decreasing production time and provides a cheaper alternative to lamination. This helps the company to offer additional value to its customers by delivering custom printing orders at the earliest.
