Vishay Intertechnology, a producer of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components, has launched a new through-hole thin film resistor network, M83401.
The single-in-line network will surpass the requirements of MIL-PRF-83401 characteristics; H, V and R. The MIL-PRF-83401-qualified resistor network features fixed ratio tolerances to 0.05 %, Temperature Coefficient of Resistance (TCR) tracking of 5 ppm/°C and low absolute TCR of 25 ppm/°C.
The device incorporates patented passivated nichrome film of Vishay Dale Thin Film to ensure superior performance on various factors, which include a resistance value ranging from 100 W to 200 kW per resistor, power ratings varying from 0.06 to 0.120 mW per element, voltage coefficient value of less than 0.1 ppm/V and low noise of below - 30 dB. The M83401 single-in-line resistor network operates in a temperature ranging from - 55 °C to + 125 °C.
Vishay Intertechnology's new device provides three to nine resistors. The body of the device is made of molded thermoset plastic with gold-plated copper alloy leads. The leads are fastened to the metallized alumina substrates using thermo-compression bonding technique.
The M83401 is offered in 6 pin, 8 pin and 10 pin configurations in two schematic styles: pin one common (C) and isolated (G). The type RZ070, RZ080, RZ090, RZ210, RZ220, and RZ230 resistor network has 100% burn-in screening for enhanced reliability in challenging military applications. C83401, a commercial version of the M83401 resistor network is also offered by Vishay Intertechnology.
