MWV Specialty Chemicals has established a strategic partnership with France-based DRT, a manufacturer of turpentine and rosin derivatives from plant-based materials.
According to MWV’s General Manager, Pine Chemicals, Christian MacIver, this strategic alliance will benefit the concerned clients as it combines two market leaders, who are popular for pioneering products and strong technical knowledge. He added that MWV has extended the manufacturing footprint and provides better access to main raw materials and enhanced service to international clients.
This collaboration between both the companies is a manufacturing and distribution contract for core products. It will offer clients, the access to materials and a dedicated group of technical experts in North America and Europe, and modern applications and research development laboratories. Clients are benefited from enhanced manufacturing and supply and also gain greater access to the new technological innovations and developments.
Eric Moussu, DRT’s director, Sales & Marketing stated that this partnership will benefit the customers, as the company jointly work to expand innovative products and enhance the efficiency of the facility. He added that this alliance positions both the companies for upcoming growth as the company harmonizes strengths and knowledge to form customer values.
According to the agreement, MWV will buy and supply DRT’s pine-based derivatives in Europe and in North America. DRT will target the production potential and core markets. DRT will distribute the adhesive resins of MWV in Europe.
