Diodes, a manufacturer and provider of high-quality standard products to the broad discrete, analog and logic semiconductor markets, has declared that it has launched the 6.0V Zener and switching diodes in the product line of ultra-miniature X3-DFN0603-2 package.
These diodes are available in the 0.6 x 0.3 x 0.3 mm format and consume 70% less space in the printed circuit board (PCB), when compared to the DFN1006-2 packaged alternatives and a 40% lesser off-board height.
In addition, the company’s X3-DFN0603-2 package will enable improvement in the efficiency, using the enhanced electrical performance and thermally efficient design. The electrical performance is improved by means of reduction in the lead inductance and its innovative design reaches a power dissipation of 250 mW. This package meets the increasing need for smaller components in lightweight portable products like mobile handsets and tablets.
Primarily, the company has launched seven low-leakage Zeners in the small package that is appropriate for voltage regulation, referencing, voltage-limiting and over-voltage protection applications. The nominal voltages provided by GDZ Zeners are from 5.1 to 8.2 V along with a commendable tolerance of ±5% Vz.
Two low capacitance switching diodes are also unveiled in the miniature package. The 1SS361LP3 is differentiated by fast-switching performance and the low-leakage current of the BSA116LP3 helps in extension of the battery life.
