A manufacturer of high-quality steel wire products in the People's Republic of China, Longhai Steel has declared that it has begun the first round of production of steel wire of superior quality in its second production facility at the end of Q2, 2012. The company intends to increase the production to full capacity by end of 2012.
The 600,000 MT production facility of the company was completed in Q3, 2011 and is based in Hebei, China, Heibei having the honor of the province for producing the most amount of steel in the country. The sophisticated facility has a high-speed production line that can manufacture a broad range of high-value and conventional steel wires. All the initial production of Longhai steel was sold to a key distributor in Heibei for export and domestic markets, thus significantly reducing inventory risks and transportation costs. Encouraging feedbacks as well as indications of interest have been received from other distributors regarding future orders.
According to the Longhai Steel Executive Vice President, Steven Ross, the company is pleased with the smooth increase in production at its second facility. He added that from the time test production began, all the company’s internal production and performance goals have been met or surpassed. Testing will be completed by early August and bulk production will begin by the end of Q3. Adding high quality steel wire from the facility will increase the company’s customer base, result in diversification of its end market exposure and boost its margins.
