Prime Star Group, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: PSGI) is pleased to announce that its IPAC "Eco-Film" division has entered into the multi-billion dollar packaging industry and agreed to begin manufacturing of biodegradable plastic shopping bags, known as BIO-BAGS™.
Roger Mohlman, Prime Star CEO stated: "Biodegradable plastic bags are a great alternative to the 360 plus Billion regular plastic bags used ever year. Our BIO-BAGS™ will not harm the environment during their 2 year life-cycle as they are made from our new ECO-FILM. Their main advantage -- apart from not harming the Earth in their manufacturing, use, and landfill disposal -- is that they allow consumers to carry on with their regular shopping habits. Biodegradable plastic bags do not harm wildlife nor marine-wildlife, since they biodegrade in water and if swallowed by animals, are digested quickly as they disintegrate. Made of 100% natural materials, they leave no residue behind, compost quickly with other organic trash, such as leaves, foods, etc."
The bags meet the California Law regarding biodegradable and compostable product claims, Minnesota Standard on Compostable Bags and The City of Houston, Texas ordinances on biodegradable bags. There are no chemical additives to enhance decomposition, they biodegrade naturally, and they will also biodegrade in both fresh and salt water.
"We are extremely pleased with our recent certification that our proprietary liquid beverage packaging technology now offers 100% biodegradability; 100 % recyclability at any time. Although there is no assurance we will be commercially successful, we are currently in discussions with several major global distribution channels at the both the retail and wholesale levels; and will update the investment community as things progress," concluded Mr. Mohlman.
