KEMET Launches Multilayer Ceramic Capacitor

KEMET has introduced the industry's first high temperature multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC). The C0G capacitor offers reliable performance in harsh environments and is equipped with a strong base metal dielectric system. The system offers excellent performance and capacitance stability at temperatures of up to 200°C.

The dielectric platform allows downsizing opportunities for present high temperature C0G technology and also provides replacement opportunities for X7R/BX/BR technologies. When compared to X7R, the C0G technology performs better and has a greater effective capacitance. It is ideal for automotive, aerospace and industrial customers requiring reduced size, reliability, temperature stability and higher capacitance.

KEMET’s multilayer ceramic capacitor has various applications such as energy storage, blocking, transient voltage suppression, bypass, filtering, decoupling, circuits with pulse, circuits requiring low loss, tuning and critical timing.
