Over the past one year, Viscom has reinforced its activities in the areas of semiautomatic and manual X-ray inspection and conducted extensive technical development of X-ray inspection for the electronics sector.
The successful X8011 inspection system has been redesigned and is now offered in basic, flex and plus versions for efficient and rapid inspection of electronic assemblies.
Viscom has suitably equipped itself to respond rapidly to market demands. This system optimally covers the demands of electronics assembly production with its excellent image quality, rapid and simple operation and analyses focused particularly at this area.
The Vice President for Viscom’s new products business unit, Rolf Demitz, who is presently responsible for semi-automatic and manual X-ray inspection, visualizes significant market opportunities. He stated that the redesign of the X8011 ensures that customers are provided with an innovative, high-performance system. This application is complemented by deploying high-performance computed tomography that had been developed by them to permit reconstruction of complicated structures.
In the light of these developments, there has also been a redirection of sales activities. From April 2012, Christian Wolff shouldered the responsibility of technical sales of semiautomatic and manual X-ray inspection systems at Viscom. Worldwide representatives and the company’s branches are supported by Wolff with questions related to X-ray applications and the opening-up of new market segments.
