The latest generation of DMA density meters for liquids embraces the fastest and most accurate digital density meters in the world, providing a supreme user experience and response time.
The Next-Level density meters DMA 4101, DMA 4501 and DMA 5001 are driven by Anton Paar’s unique Pulsed Excitation Method (PEM), combined with a new, even-smarter algorithm. The freshly designed measurement modes deliver accurate results in 20 seconds. The intelligent DMA predicts the result without compromising on accuracy.
The camera for visual inspection of the measuring cell has 1280 x 800 resolution, backlight adaptation, frame repositioning and a zoom function, allowing detailed visual checks during filling and cleaning for 100 % correct results. The new software features quicker updates and a more practical user experience.
Three different models are available:
- DMA 4001: The fastest digital density meter, delivering 4-digit density measurement in 20 seconds, enables a high throughput in quality control with ultra-fast measuring mode.
- DMA 4501: The ideal tool for quality assurance and reference for production control for a wide range of samples with 5-digits accuracy.
- DMA 5001: Offers unmatched 6-digit accuracy and provides a precise measurement mode on top for measurements requiring the utmost precision. It is ideal for demanding high-end R&D applications and sets the tone for authorities as well as standards organizations.
Key Features
The main features of DMA 4001 / DMA 4501 / DMA 5001 are as follows.
Modular Setup – For a High Sample Throughput
The new density meters offer an array of options for multiparameter analysis (6+ additional parameters, 6+ different sample changers) and automation of measurement to save time.
Ensure the highest possible sample throughput and avoid filling issues related to manual operation via combination with a wide range of sample changers, dedicated to the user's specific application and measurement demands - with automatic temperature control, measurement and cleaning cycles.
Patented Measuring Principle
Measure fast and accurately, with zero compromises. The density is measured based on the oscillating U-tube technology with Anton Paar’s patented Pulsed Excitation Method (PEM; patent AT 516420 B1).
Benefit from automatic viscosity correction, an ultra-fast measurement mode and the bubble-detection feature FillingCheck™ - in real-time, with both vertical and horizontal syringe filling and including identification of invisible microbubbles. All relevant incidents are documented as a matter of course.
Data Management – On the Instrument or via Software
The instruments operate across numerous data interfaces and in combination with our lab execution software, AP Connect, set the basis for your future paperless lab. Storage of 10,000 measurements on instrument level, with user-defined output reports, is available. Data export is 6x faster than its predecessor. Data management can be simplified with or without a network connection.
Customization – Zero Chance for Human Errors
Select from 200+ predefined quantities and scales. Avoid time-consuming manual calculations and human errors. Enjoy easier data management with customized report configuration.
Data Integrity and Compliance with Industry Standards
The new, high-performance density meters deliver accuracy and sample diagnostics according to industry-wide standards (ASTM D4052, D5002, and ISO 12185, USP <841> and other Pharmacopeias, etc.).
Lay a meticulous audit trail, with signing of measurement results (user management) – in full GMP/GLP and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance. Satisfy data integrity and traceability standards (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11, GMP 4 Annex 11&15, ALCOA+) and be ready for – and pass – internal and external audits.
