The LabSpec® 4 Hi-Res analytical spectrometer has been designed for analysis of materials that are categorized by sharp spectral features that may need more resolute spectral data for correct detection and identification.
The 3 nm VNIR, 6 nm SWIR spectral resolution of the LabSpec® 4 Hi-Res analytical instrument offers greater performance across the 350-2500 nm spectral range. The improved spectral resolution in the SWIR range (1001- 2500 nm) is mainly useful in detecting and then identifying compounds with narrow spectral features in these longer wavelengths such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, plastics, soil mineralogy and petrochemicals.
Spectral data with 6 nm SWIR resolution is capable of offering a powerful foundation for building accurate chemometric calibration models for qualitative and quantitative materials analysis. The spectrometer configuration offers superior signal throughput and is well-matched with all ASD bifurcated probes and lighted accessories.
Optional Integrated Fiber Optic Light Source
The LabSpec® 4 Hi-Res i model features an internal broad-spectrum halogen light source that prevents the requirement for an external fiber optic light source, which is needed for bifurcated probes and a few accessories.
