Features
Use and benefits
The novel HandScope® LASER is the recent Forensic Light Source by SPEX Forensics. The innovative design enables one-handed operation.
Using the LCD touch panel, the same hand holding the light source can cycle through four wavelengths and three power settings. No other laser gives the same versatility.
Depending on the power setting, the detachable lithium-ion battery gives up to three hours of run time for scene processing. The remaining battery life is visible on the LCD touchpad. The HandScope LASER battery can be recharged while the unit is running or removed and charged in the battery conditioner.
Hands-free operation in the lab is straightforward while using the embedded tripod mount with the Micro USB and optional software driving the HandScope LASER through all functions. The HandScope LASER can be combined with the Universal Imaging System (UIS) for the ultimate evidence-capturing system.
