Fiber Characterization with Desktop SEM
Thermo Scientific FiberMetric is an application designed for the analysis of fibers.
First, images are acquired using the SEM. Second, images are analyzed in FiberMetric to detect fibers. For each fiber, the software calculates the diameter, which allows the user to generate graphs to visualize the fiber diameter distribution. Finally, a report is generated automatically when the user saves the data.
Fibermetric enables rapid analysis of fibers, which is critical for quality control of products such as medical facemasks.
