Thermo Scientific Phenom Elemental Mapping Software is an option within the elemental identification (EID) software package that comes as standard with the Phenom EDX solution.
The Element Identification (EID) package is an application that enables elemental analysis via EDX on a Thermo Scientific Phenom desktop SEM. Elemental mapping is an optional extra that greatly expands the EDX capabilities of the microscope, by unveiling the spatial distribution of chemical elements within a sample.
Real-time mapping shows the live build-up of the element maps while storing the spectrum of each pixel.
Moreover, overlapping signals are deconvoluted. This means that in the quantitative elemental maps, the distribution of each element is reliably visualized.
In addition to mapping, there is a line scan function that enables analyses along a defined line.
The software provides the flexibility to customize the following parameters: the number of points, dwell time per point, and the number of passes. Additionally, results can be exported and reported automatically.
Key Features
Fast and Reliable
Fast and reliable information on the distribution of elements within the sample or the selected line.
Automatic Reporting
All results of the elemental mapping and line scan functionality can be exported using an automated report.
