The Latest in IDES Products for Time-Resolved TEM

On June 17, 2021, JEOL USA welcomed Dan Masiel (IDES Inc.) and Khalid Hattar (Sandia National Laboratories) to an online panel discussion exploring innovative technologies using the latest IDES products.

IDES leads the way in time-resolved TEM space, and this technology remains exclusive to JEOL. The webinar discusses these products from the perspective of customers and users, expanding on microscope flexibility and functionality in beam damage mitigation, optical illumination, and speed.

Key outcomes in the webinar include:

  • How DTEM-IDES technology can be the appropriate choice for analytical microscopists of all levels of expertise
  • Retrofitting existing TEM and the requirements and advantages on offer

About the Presenters

Daniel Masiel Ph.D founded IDES in 2009 to enable researchers to observe nanomaterial behavior as rapidly as possible.

Khalid Hattar Ph.D is a Principal Member of the Technical Staff and scientist at Sandia National Laboratories and the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies.

Dr. Patrick Phillips Ph.D., received his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Ohio State University in 2012 before becoming a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois—Chicago. He joined JEOL USA in 2016.
