Exploring CRYO ARM™ Field Emission Cryo-Electron Microscopes

First presented at M&M Virtual 2020, this webinar demonstrates how cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) has taken enormous strides.

Structural analysis of viruses and proteins at the atomic level generated by cryo-EM using SPA workflows demands hardware and software with high stability capabilities. JEOL is proud to announce its current offering, the CRYO ARMTM Field Emission Cryo-electron Microscope, which supports the latest developments in cryo-EM.

The CRYO ARM leads the way in resolution and stability while enabling automated image data capture for Single Particle Analysis.

This webinar covers the following:

  • History of JEOL cryo-Ems: SIX generations of helium-cooled microscopes from 1986 to present
  • Latest trends in cryo-EM
  • The JEOL CRYO ARM: A platform that fits into all existing workflows with ease and offers the following:
    • Autoloader (12 samples)
    • Automated image acquisition software for Single Particle Analysis
    • Cold field emission gun
    • Easy to use
    • Enhanced contrast
    • High resolution
    • High throughput
    • New cryostage and polepiece
    • Omega energy filter
